Pep Guardiola Comments on Man City Exit Speculations After Bournemouth Draw

PEP GUARDIOLA has yet to confirm whether he will leave Manchester City at the end of the season.

The Sky Blues manager faced more inquiries about his future following tonight’s 1-1 draw against Bournemouth – a result that clinched Arsenal their first title in over two decades.

This came just one day after rumors emerged indicating that he might leave the Etihad this summer.

While Guardiola mentioned he has a year left on his contract, he avoided making any commitments beyond that.

When directly asked about the next phase of his time at City, Guardiola responded: “I would say I have one more year on my contract, and the discussions I have are many, many years worth – announcing anything during the season isn’t wise, and the first person I consult is my Chairman.

“After the season wraps up, we will evaluate and then make a choice.

“I have one more year on my contract, and I won’t go into details here as I need to consult with my Chairman, players, and staff, because when we aim for the FA Cup, Champions League qualification, and Premier League triumph, my main focus is to achieve the team’s utmost potential. That’s what we’ve done.

“I’m the luckiest man in the world to represent this incredible club.

“Definitely when this season ends, we want to connect with our fans in the last match. I know they will back us, and throughout ten seasons, they’ve been amazing at various moments, which is what we need to continue until the end.”

The draw scuttled City’s title hopes.

Although Guardiola has yet to comment directly, the approaching days are likely to increase speculation that Sunday’s match at home to Aston Villa could mark Guardiola’s last in the Etihad dugout.

When asked before the match if the rumors affected him personally or disrupted preparations, Guardiola curtly replied: “Zero. Absolutely zero!”

According to reports, if he departs, his former assistant and Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca is ready to take over.
