A YOUNG FOOTBALLER’S sibling sadly passed away after being found unresponsive in a swimming pool during a family holiday in Spain.
Two-year-old Hartley Wareham was discovered by his heartbroken parents while vacationing with loved ones.
An inquest held in Exeter, Devon, revealed that Hartley’s father retrieved him from the pool and started CPR while onlookers called for an ambulance.
Hartley’s mother continued the CPR until paramedics arrived and managed to revive him, after which he was transported to the hospital.
Sadly, the young boy could not be saved and passed away on July 3, merely five days after the incident.
The post-mortem exam determined that his death was caused by drowning, sepsis, and acute respiratory distress syndrome.

HEARTBREAKING ACCIDENT
A beloved animal-loving mother, aged 75, was unfortunately killed by her own vehicle while trying to save her cat.
Coroner Alison Longhorn postponed the inquest to a later date.
Hartley’s brother, Jayden Wareham, plays for Exeter City in League Two.
In a touching tribute, the toddler’s family shared that he was a “beloved little boy”.
They have established a JustGiving page to create a bench in Hartley’s memory.
They expressed: “During his short time with us, he filled our lives with immense love, joy, and happiness that surpasses what we could have ever envisioned.
“Hartley loved Hey Duggee, and he enjoyed spending time in our garden, exploring and playing with a smile.”
“To honor his life, we’re planning to create a custom Hey Duggee memorial bench to be beautifully situated in the garden he cherished.”
“This bench will provide a special place for us to recall the wonderful moments we shared and find comfort in the times we miss him most.”
Exeter City also expressed their sympathies to Hartley’s family in this challenging time.
They stated: “Our thoughts are with the family and friends. We will support Jayden as he faces this difficult period.
“The club calls for everyone to respect the privacy of Jayden and his family during this time.”
