Reports from The Standard indicate that Shakhtar Donetsk has reached out to Chelsea about hosting their home Champions League matches at Stamford Bridge.
Since the Russian invasion of Ukraine four years ago, Shakhtar has been unable to play their European matches in their home city.
During the previous season, they temporarily played at Synerise Arena in Krakow, Poland for the Conference League.

Before that, they had played at Veltins-Arena in Gelsenkirchen, Germany.
This season, they are looking at potential venues in London.
It was recently revealed that Brentford’s Gtech Community Stadium is one option.
Stamford Bridge is among the locations being evaluated, along with Craven Cottage, the home ground of Chelsea’s rivals, Fulham.

Shakhtar Donetsk is also considering venues in Germany.
As per a statement from the club to Standard Sport, “Shakhtar is currently negotiating with various venues in the United Kingdom and Germany to secure a host stadium for its UEFA Champions League matches next season.
We will refrain from commenting further on the process until a decision is announced soon.”
