He had to exercise patience until the last moments of the transfer window to finalize a £40million move to Stamford Bridge.
Garnacho expressed that the weeks spent in uncertainty as part of Ruben Amorim’s bomb squad were quite challenging.
In an interview with TNT Sports, Garnacho remarked: “It was a tough time, training by myself.
“I hold no ill feelings towards my former club, Manchester United.
“It was just a difficult phase, but I’m excited to be here now, to compete, and to secure three points today.”
At 21, Garnacho has had to be patient for his chances since joining Chelsea.
He debuted for the Blues against Lincoln in the Carabao Cup last week before sitting out the loss to Brighton.
However, he returned to the starting lineup for the 1-0 win over Benfica, sharing his excitement about being back in Champions League action.

“As kids, we dreamed of playing on Champions League nights, and now that dream is a reality, so I’m very happy.”
