BARCELONA will face no financial obligation to Manchester United if they choose not to keep Marcus Rashford after his loan ends.
Sporting director Deco has clarified that there is no “penalty clause” in the agreement; however, an option exists to acquire the forward on a permanent deal.

The former Chelsea, Porto, and Barcelona midfielder told Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo: “It’s too early to discuss decisions for the next season. What truly matters is that we are satisfied with him.”
Rashford had previously expressed interest in joining Barcelona in January, but ultimately opted for Aston Villa, where he scored four goals and provided six assists in 17 appearances across all competitions.
He has made a strong start under Hansi Flick, complementing a formidable attacking lineup that includes Raphinha, Lamine Yamal, Fermin Lopez, and Robert Lewandowski.
Rashford netted his first goals for the Catalan club two weeks ago during the Champions League group stage opener against Newcastle United.
Deco has voiced his approval, stating: “He’s performing at the level we expected.”
“He’s a top-tier player who made his mark at a young age and has had several outstanding seasons at United.
“However, there were also tough years with coaching changes, which might have added pressure on him.”
“We’re happy with his contributions; that’s what matters. These decisions will come in their own time.”

“For now, our focus should be on the upcoming matches. A decision will be made, but not right now.”
