sportskeedaAccording to Sportswire, former Orlando Pirates striker Letsie Koapeng has signed with Durban City, becoming his 11th team in the PSL.
Koapeng recently departed from Orbit College, a newly promoted side, where he played in three matches and found the net once.
He shared his departure from the North West club through social media and was quickly signed by Durban City, who secured their spot in the PSL after being promoted from the Motsepe Foundation Championship at the end of last season.
A Wealth of Experience
Throughout his time in the PSL, Koapeng has had a varied career, representing several clubs, including:

- Orlando Pirates
- Cape Town City

- Richards Bay
- Jomo Cosmos
- Marumo Gallants
- Moroka Swallows
At 33, he has encountered both successes and setbacks throughout his journey. Particularly, he was part of Bill Wits’ squad that lost to Pirates in the Carling Knockout final during the 2011/12 season and played a key role in Chippa United’s promotion to the PSL in the 2013/14 season.
Additionally, he faced defeat in the MTN8 final with Cape Town City during the 2017/18 season, which marked Benni McCarthy’s first season with the club.
Furthermore, he experienced losses in the Nedbank Cup final with both Pirates (2015/16) and Marumo Gallants (2021/22).
Across his brief but varied stints with these teams, Koapeng has made a total of 139 appearances, scoring 18 goals and providing five assists.
It remains to be seen whether Koapeng will feature in the Durban City lineup for their next home match against Siwelele at Chatsworth Stadium on Tuesday.
