Durban City has officially confirmed the signings of defender Terrence Mashego from Mamelodi Sundowns and striker Letsie Koapeng from Orbit College.
As previously reported by Sportswire, both players are anticipated to improve the team’s quality and roster depth.
New Signings to Enhance the Squad
Mashego is set to join the team on a loan for the season from Sundowns, where his left-back experience is expected to be a significant asset.
Additionally, Koapeng, who recently competed for the newly promoted Orbit College, has signed a two-year permanent deal with Durban City.
“The arrival of Terrence Mashego provides us with immediate, top-tier quality and crucial experience for our defensive lineup,” said Durban City chairman Farook Kadodia. “He is a fighter who knows what it takes to excel at the highest levels.”

Kadodia also emphasized that Koapeng will add more options to their attacking lineup. “We understand the demands of top-tier football and the need for versatile players throughout the season,” he noted.
“These signings clearly demonstrate our commitment to competing effectively now while building a solid foundation for future success. They bring essential depth and diverse skills to our squad, solidifying us across various positions.”
Currently, Durban City is positioned sixth in the Betway Premiership standings, accumulating eight points from six matches, and these additions are part of their plan to enhance the team.
It remains to be seen if Mashego and Koapeng will make their debut in the upcoming home match against Siwelele FC at Chatsworth Stadium on Tuesday [19:30].
