This number has unexpectedly been given to pop star and minority owner Ed Sheeran.

Sheeran, 34, has maintained this kit number as part of a publicity stunt since the 2021/22 season.
Fans were still in disbelief when they spotted his name on the squad list.
One commented: “Ed Sheeran No17. The game has changed.”
Another joked: “Shouldn’t No17 retire when your legs aren’t what they used to be?”

Awkward moment Ed Sheeran politely asked to leave after gatecrashing Ruben Amorim interview live on Sky Sports
Sheeran frequently attended games at Portman Road as his team faced relegation from the Premier League.
He stirred controversy in November by interrupting an interview with Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim.
Sheeran later admitted that the awkward moment occurred after he “had about ten pints” and “did not realize” it was a live broadcast.
