The second race of the day began with one car remaining stationary as the lights changed to green.
As it remained still, the driver behind attempted to swerve to avoid it, inadvertently colliding with another competitor.
This led to one car being launched off the track, landing in the grass while debris was scattered across the start line.
Yellow flags were waved immediately; however, those positioned further back on the grid did not catch the signal.
A car crashed directly into the rear of the unmoving vehicle, igniting a catastrophic pile-up.
The race was suspended just 17 seconds after it began.
Ultimately, 15 cars were forced to retire from the event.
Some drivers exited their vehicles promptly, whereas others stayed seated, visibly concerned.
Fortunately, reports confirm that all individuals involved are safe.
The identities of the drivers involved have yet to be disclosed.
Initially, race officials decided to pause the event but later chose to abandon it entirely due to noise restrictions on the track.
No updates are currently available regarding when the race will be rescheduled.
