Reports indicate that Hoeness is recuperating well following the incident.

According to Bild, the former West Germany forward was released from the hospital earlier this evening.

Hoeness took part in an event at Miel Castle, located roughly 270 miles from Munich.

The charity golf day was organized by Timotheus Hottges, the CEO of Telekom.

Telekom is a significant sponsor for Bayern Munich and is rumored to be close to renewing its contract with the Bundesliga champions.

Vincent Kompany’s team reportedly earns over £50 million annually from this sponsorship.

In addition to Hoeness, Bayern club president Herbert Hainer was also in attendance at the event.

Hoeness played 329 matches for Bayern between 1970 and 1979.

After retiring in 1979, Hoeness smoothly transitioned into an executive position.

He served as Bayern’s general manager for 30 years before becoming president in 2009.

After a decade in that role, Hoeness became honorary president, with Hainer succeeding him as president.

While Hoeness was on the golf course today, his beloved Bayern took on Lyon at Allianz Arena.

Kompany’s side triumphed in the prestigious friendly, winning 2-1 thanks to two goals from Michael Olise.

Lyon’s talented 17-year-old England youth international Alejandro Gomes Rodriguez netted a late goal, reducing the deficit for the visitors.

Three Lions captain Harry Kane was also on the pitch for Bayern, along with new signing Luis Diaz from Liverpool.

Bayern is scheduled to play again on Thursday evening, facing Tottenham Hotspur in a reunion with Kane’s former team.
