VIKTOR GYOKERES claims he is on par with Erling Haaland and Harry Kane as his transfer negotiations with Arsenal progress.
The 27-year-old striker, aiming for “revenge” in the Premier League, has chosen to skip training with Sporting, while the Gunners are still £4.3 million away from his £69 million valuation.

When questioned about his standing alongside Kane and Haaland, Gyokeres replied: “I’m absolutely among them.
“I consider myself at the same level as them now. Given my accomplishments at Sporting, I’m confident I can excel anywhere.
“You haven’t witnessed my full potential yet.”
Sporting headed to the Algarve for pre-season training without the Swedish forward, as club president Frederico Varandas indicated that Gyokeres might face penalties for his absence.
Gyokeres was cautious when addressing any potential summer move during an interview with the French outlet L’Equipe.
He stated: “Perhaps. That’s football; it’s unpredictable. I’m not focused on it; we’ll see what happens.
“The most important aspect for me is finding a club that genuinely appreciates me.”
Varandas released a definitive statement regarding Gyokeres’ future yesterday.

He declared: “We’re composed. A resolution is achievable with market closure, a significant fine, and an apology to the group.
“If they [Arsenal] are unwilling to meet Viktor’s fair market value, we will have no issues retaining him for the next three years.

“If those planning this move believe it pressures me to facilitate his exit, they are mistaken and complicating the player’s departure.
“No one is more important than the club’s interests. No matter who they are.”
The Swedish striker is eager to join Arsenal, despite Manchester United’s interest, as they have made THREE attempts to acquire him recently.
Although Gyokeres didn’t play a single Premier League match during his three years at Brighton, he enjoyed two successful seasons at Coventry.
Regarding the Premier League, he stated: “It’s one of Europe’s elite leagues.
“I spent multiple years there without making an appearance.
“Thus, it’s definitely an achievement I desire. It would be a significant form of revenge.”
