MANCHESTER UNITED legend Wayne Rooney has landed a new position that enables him to work with another iconic figure from the Premier League.
Now at 39, Rooney, affectionately known as Wazza, has been on the lookout for a fresh opportunity since his departure from Plymouth Argyle last Christmas.

The former Red Devils striker achieved just five wins in 25 matches over a seven-month period.
This recent venture was yet another underwhelming coaching experience following his tenures at Derby, DC United, and Birmingham.
Meanwhile, Rooney has found solace in punditry, featuring on Amazon Prime and the Stick to Football podcast.
Earlier this month, he also captained and managed England at Soccer Aid, where he scored the quickest goal in the match’s history, although former United teammate Carlos Tevez netted four goals to secure victory for the World XI.
Now, Rooney is officially back in action with a new opportunity.
However, it’s not a return to management for the former England captain.
Instead, he has teamed up with a premium training camp for children called Football Escapes.
This organization offers half-term retreats for kids and their parents in beautiful destinations like Cyprus, Portugal, and the Maldives.

Rooney is set to lace up his boots once more for an October retreat in Dubai after previously working with the camp in February.
He will mentor young aspiring players alongside another Premier League legend, former Tottenham and England defender Michael Dawson.
However, joining Rooney for training comes at a price.
Football Escapes is offering a seven-day family package for four at the luxurious Jumeirah Beach Hotel for £8499, excluding flights.
A statement highlighted: “By popular demand, Wayne Rooney will be returning to Dubai, alongside Michael Dawson, for a week of Football Escapes magic this October Half Term, from the 20th to the 24th of October 2025.
“Children will receive daily training in custom kits from our ambassadors and UEFA-qualified coaches, boosting their confidence and skills under Wayne Rooney’s guidance.
“The package features coaching from Wayne Rooney, a signed jersey, our fabulous Parents’ Match, a medal ceremony to celebrate the week, and, of course, a luxurious stay for you and your family at the exceptional Jumeirah Beach Hotel Resort in Dubai.”
