Agent Provides Latest Insight on Otladisa’s Future

Nimrod Mbhalati, representing Katlego Otladisa, has shared insights regarding his client’s future. The skilled winger recently concluded the second half of the 2024/25 season on loan at Sekhukhune United from Orlando Pirates.

The former Marumo Gallants player joined Babina Noko in the January transfer window, aiming for more playing opportunities after struggling to find a regular spot in the starting XI and matchday squad under Jose Riveiro, who has since left the Buccaneers for Al Ahly in Egypt.

Before sealing his loan deal with the Limpopo club, Otladisa made just one appearance in Pirates’ matchday squad, participating in a 2-0 win over SuperSport United last October, though he did not take to the field.

During his spell at Sekhukhune, the 28-year-old forward featured in 11 matches across all competitions, scoring two goals and registering one assist. Notably, one of his goals was against his former team, Mamelodi Sundowns.

However, after Eric Tinkler’s appointment, who replaced Lehlohonolo Seema in mid-March, Otladisa saw his playing time diminish. Under Tinkler’s guidance, he was included in the matchday squad only twice across nine matches managed by the former Cape Town City coach, missing out on the squad in the last six encounters.

As clubs gear up for the upcoming 2025/26 transfer season, Otladisa’s agent has confirmed that he will be returning to the Mayfair club.

“He is going back to Pirates,” said Mbhalati from Nida Sports Agency to Sportswire.

Otladisa has drawn interest from several premier teams, including Golden Arrows and Polokwane City. Furthermore, his previous club, Gallants, is rumored to be interested in re-signing him this January.

It remains to be seen whether the new technical team will decide to retain the player or if he will pursue other opportunities, as his contract is set to expire in June 2026. He signed a three-year deal with the Sea Robbers from Bahlabane Ba Ntwa in July 2023.
