This change is anticipated to allow Ancelotti to complete a contract with Brazil.
According to reports from Marca, Alonso will exit the German club Leverkusen after a successful two-year stint.
The former Liverpool, Real, and Bayern Munich player led them to their first Bundesliga title last year, making Leverkusen the inaugural ‘Invincibles’ team in the history of Germany’s top division.
This season, they are projected to finish in second place behind Bayern Munich.
Having been linked with a move to Real Madrid last summer, Alonso now feels that the time is right to make his return to the Bernabeu.
