It has now been confirmed that the highly promising Narciso Has will join Mullins’ group of superstars after just one race at Auteuil.

According to Jour De Galop, Mullins quickly secured Narciso Has, a horse previously trained by Marcel Rolland, on behalf of renowned billionaire owner JP McManus.

Mullins and McManus recently celebrated victory in the Ryanair with Fact To File at this year’s Cheltenham Festival, achieving remarkable success with notable horses like Grand National champion I Am Maximus, Majborough, and Dinoblue, among others.

The three-year-old Narciso Has, offspring of the exceptional jumps stallion Doctor Dino, won the 1m7f Prix Wild Monarch (Poulains) last month effortlessly.

This race offered nearly £25,000 for the winner and is designed for colts or geldings making their debut over obstacles.

Narciso Has’s prospects are bright as he bested his closest rival, Diablo Vert, with a skillful jump at the final hurdle.

Jockey Ludovic Philipperon hardly needed to urge his mount as they neared the finish line.

He simply eased his horse, with a victory margin of one-and-a-quarter lengths appearing flattering to Narciso Has’s competitors.

One enthusiast remarked that Narciso Has represents ‘the most thrilling’ acquisition from France thus far this summer.

In describing his debut performance, French racing publication Equidia noted: “Always positioned at the front, Narciso Has accelerated down the stretch and, although the victory margin was not significant, he exhibited authority.”

“Alongside the front-runner Diablo Vert, Narciso Has gained a slight advantage over his opponent between the last two hurdles, ultimately leading to a confident victory.”

Mullins and bloodstock agent Harold Kirk will be active in France over the coming months, scouting potential future champions.
