Evra, 43, was set to debut at the Professional Fighters League’s event in Paris on May 23.
However, the event has been cancelled just over two weeks before the planned fight.
A PFL statement noted: “PFL Europe Paris on 23 May has been rescheduled; a new date will be shared soon.”
“All ticket holders will receive a full refund.”
The event was meant to showcase a lightweight bout between Mansour Barnaoui and Archie Colgan.
Several calls were made to cancel the fight due to serious allegations of domestic violence and rape facing Barnaoui from his former partner, Joanne H.
Evra, who has trained in MMA since 2016, was enthusiastic about stepping into the cage.
He stated: “As you all should know by now, I genuinely love this game!”

Despite this, he expressed interest in confronting Liverpool legend Luis Suarez, who racially abused him during a match at Anfield in 2011, following this announcement.
He stated: “I’m officially training for my first fight with @PFLEurope. They will decide my opponent.
“When asked who I wanted to face, I answered, ‘Luis Suarez. I’ll take care of the costs. He can even bite me.’
