Woods has not participated in any tournaments since missing the cut at The Open last July.
The latest update regarding the 49-year-old’s ranking emerged over the weekend, bringing disappointing news to the golfing icon.
Woods has now reached his lowest-ever world ranking while grappling with persistent injuries.
He is currently ranked No.1341, surpassing his previous record low of 1,328th in November 2023.
In a serious car accident in 2021, Woods narrowly escaped losing his leg.
Following the accident, he underwent surgeries on his knee, ankle, and back.
After confirming his Achilles injury in March, Woods was unable to compete in last month’s Masters Tournament.
In an Instagram update, Tiger shared: “As I started to intensify my training and practice at home, a sharp pain struck in my left Achilles, which turned out to be a rupture.”
