The loss against Millwall on Easter Monday was his final match in charge of the East Anglian team, leading to the decision to make a change before the season wraps up.
A section of the club’s announcement stated: “Norwich City has mutually agreed to part ways with head coach Johannes Hoff Thorup, effective immediately.”
“Assistant head coach Glen Riddersholm will also be departing from his role within the club.”
Canaries Sporting Director Ben Knapper remarked: “Although we were appointed with a long-term vision congruent with our club strategy, recent outcomes and performances required this shift.”
“We want to extend our sincere gratitude to Johannes and Glen. They are both exceptional individuals who committed themselves to the progress of our football club.”
“We wish them all the best in their future pursuits.”
