With Bournemouth leading 1-0 after just 53 seconds, Fulham brought on Adama Traore, Raul Jimenez, and Tom Cairney in an attempt to level the score.
Viewers at home saw the substitutions, which involved Sessegnon, Sander Berge, and Rodigo Muniz being replaced at the Vitality Stadium.
However, the substitution process took more than FIVE minutes, prompting referee Michael Oliver to step in to assess the situation.
It has now emerged that Fulham did not mean for Sessegnon to be substituted but had no option in the end.
Silva was clearly livid about the incident.
He was spotted on the touchline shouting at fourth official Tim Robinson, though it was not clear which player he preferred to be replaced instead of Sessegnon.
Per Premier League rules, a player who has been substituted “cannot return to the field of play during the same match.”
The Sky Sports commentator remarked: “The card that was shown had Ryan Sessegnon’s name on it.

However, Silva’s substitutions could not secure a leveling goal, resulting in Bournemouth overtaking Fulham to stand in eighth place in the Premier League.
This win marked Bournemouth’s first victory in nine games across all competitions, reviving their hopes for a spot in the European Conference League next season.
