Orlando Pirates midfielder Kabelo Dlamini shared his enthusiasm regarding their progression to the finals after a tight 1-0 victory against Marumo Gallants in the Nedbank Cup semi-finals this past Sunday.
Dlamini scored the winning goal in this match and earned the title of man of the match, marking a second win in three meetings with the Gallants this season, which also features a remarkable 8-1 victory in the Betway Premiership.
The reigning champions are set to face off against their Soweto rivals, Kaizer Chiefs, who secured their spot in the finals with a 2-1 win over Mamelodi Sundowns, at Moses Mabhida Stadium on May 10.
The 28-year-old conveyed that they understood the need to push themselves to achieve their goals and is thrilled that they have reached the final for the third consecutive time under Jose Riverio, who is expected to leave the club at the season’s conclusion.
“I want to express my gratitude to the man above for this chance. Yes, we knew that Marumo Gallants would pose a significant challenge, but we realized we had to unite and push forward due to the stakes and our ambitions,” Dlamini commented.

“I’m excited that we have reached the finals once more.”
In the meantime, the Soweto Giants are preparing for their CAF Champions League semi-final match against Pyramids FC at FNB Stadium on Saturday (18:00).
