Aston Villa Accidentally Plays Wrong Anthem Ahead of Champions League Quarter-Final

The DJ for ASTON VILLA made a notable error just moments prior to the second leg of their Champions League clash with PSG by playing the Europa League anthem.

As both teams geared up to listen to the iconic and world-renowned anthem, fans were eager to hear the traditional pre-match tune as the quarter-final encounter was about to commence.

A large banner displaying a gate with two lions and the phrase "This is Villa Park" unfurled on the soccer field.

Nevertheless, both teams and the many Villa supporters in attendance were greeted with the Europa League anthem instead.

Unai Emery’s squad looked visibly taken aback by the mix-up as the camera swept across the starting players.

The Villa Park audience responded in kind, expressing their disbelief and booing in reaction to the blunder.

Amazon commentator Adrian Clarke noted the incident, stating: “The first mistake of the night, someone has played the wrong anthem for the Champions League.”

“It’s stirring music but certainly not the tune we typically hear before such momentous matches.”
