The highly anticipated Nedbank Cup semi-final matchup between Mamelodi Sundowns and Kaizer Chiefs at Loftus Stadium on Sunday (18:00) is officially sold out.
The Premier Soccer League (PSL) has verified that this event, showcasing these two football giants, will take place before a full-capacity audience.
The winner of this contest will advance to the final, where they will face the victor of the other semi-final showdown between Orlando Pirates and Marumo Gallants, scheduled for the same day at the stadium.
This match marks the inaugural Nedbank Cup encounter between Sundowns and Chiefs since the financial institution began its sponsorship in the 2007/08 season.
The last time these two clubs met in a cup fixture was in 2006, during the period when the tournament was known as the Absa Cup. In that match, Chiefs succeeded in a penalty shootout and subsequently won the trophy by overcoming Orlando Pirates, also via penalties, at Kings Park Stadium in Durban.

At that time, Chiefs were managed by Ernst Middendorp.
