Reflecting on his achievements, Wilson shared: “I’ve only started dedicating serious time and effort over the past couple of years.
“To improve my game, and just a year ago, I wouldn’t have believed I could accomplish this.
“I’m extremely proud of what I’ve achieved, yet I acknowledge there’s still a long way to go to reach my objectives in the sport.
“Representing Scotland has greatly increased my confidence to push forward.”
Wilson, who works at the Wetherspoons location known as The James Watt in Greenock, Scotland, received time off from his manager for practice and competition.
Pub shift manager, Taryn Coyle, commented: “We are all incredibly proud of Jamie for representing Scotland.
“He has a genuine passion for the game and has worked hard to reach this level.”
Wilson has committed the past two years to intensively honing his skills.
