However, just moments later, the older Prince was observed with his head in his hands as PSG scored three remarkable goals, leading to a 3-1 victory. The two teams will meet again next week at Villa Park next week.

Before the game, the younger Prince announced that he was wearing his ‘lucky clothes’ for the match at Parc Des Princes.

George sported a blue sweater layered over a shirt, complemented by a black jacket and a Villa scarf.

Just minutes before kickoff, his father disclosed in an interview with TNT Sport that he was “pretty terrified” about the forthcoming encounter.

The Prince of Wales remarked that attending such an important game with Prince George was a “big deal,” during a conversation with analysts Ally McCoist and Rio Ferdinand.

When questioned about his nerves, he replied, “I’m pretty terrified. This has been a long time coming, so it’s a huge match.

“It’s been 43 years since anything similar happened, marking a significant European night for Villa.

“So, I’m nervous but also confident and excited about the whole experience.”

During the pre-match interview, William was playfully asked if he was on a “lads tour,” to which he humorously replied that he would be on his “best behavior” because he was with George.

He added: “Well, having my son here means I’ll be on my best behavior.

“But I thought, you know what? It’s been 43 years since such an event occurred in my time as a Villa supporter, and I want George to have the experience of a night out for a major European competition.”

William expressed his optimism with the analysts, predicting a 2-1 win for the underdogs, Villa.

The royal greeted some of Villa’s players, including Marco Asensio and England international Marcus Rashford, as they left the dressing room.

William was present for Villa’s victory against Bayern Munich earlier in the season and during their away match against Monaco in January.
