During a live broadcast, JAMIE CARRAGHER broke a “cardinal rule of television” when his daughter Mia made an unexpected appearance.
The analyst was joined by Thierry Henry, Micah Richards, and host Kate Abdo for CBS Sports’ energetic coverage of the Champions League.

As they were discussing the upcoming match between Aston Villa and PSG, the studio was filled with audible gasps when Carragher’s phone ringtone interrupted them.
Richards covered his face with his hands, while a shocked Abdo exclaimed: “Oh my God, that’s like a cardinal sin of television, who is it?”
A flustered Carragher revealed that it was his 20-year-old daughter Mia.
He picked up the call, explaining she was looking for her mother’s whereabouts.
However, the Liverpool legend replied: “I don’t know, I’m in London babe.”
Abdo encouraged Carragher to put Mia on loudspeaker, and Richards humorously stated she was interrupting the show, putting their chance of winning an Emmy at risk.
Mia responded, “Oh my God, I’m so sorry. I had no idea [he was on live TV].”
Considering CBS Sports is only available in the U.S., Carragher playfully quipped: “Are you not using the dodgy box?”

Abdo then asked Mia, “I’m really curious, your dad can seem a bit prickly on screen; how is he at home?”
Mia replied, “He’s lovely.”

Carragher explained: “There’s nothing this girl could ever do wrong; I can never get mad at her. It’s hard to be angry at you, isn’t it?”
When he ended the call, Mia said “I love you” to her dad, which prompted the CBS Sports team to collectively say “aww.”
Mia is an aspiring actress who graduated from Tring Park Performing Arts School in 2022.
The brunette also shines in dance and has an impressive 84,400 followers on Instagram.
