Nabi Voices Frustration With Chiefs’ 7-Game Winning Streak in 2024

Kaizer Chiefs head coach Nasreddine Nabi voiced his dissatisfaction upon discovering that the team achieved only seven wins in 2024.

He highlighted that his responsibility was to restore the club after a disappointing prior season and emphasized that expecting immediate outcomes was not practical.

Nabi also remarked that he couldn’t comment on the previous coaching staff during the year, as Chiefs wrapped up the 2024 season with a win against Chippa United in the Betway Premiership at Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban on Sunday.

Nonetheless, this was Chiefs’ seventh victory out of 28 games across all competitions in 2024, featuring two wins from the 2023/24 season, four in the league this season, and one in cup play—a commanding 4-0 triumph over SuperSport United in the first round of the Carling Knockout Cup.

When notified of the seven wins in 2024, Nabi, who assumed control in June, stressed that he was brought on board for a long-term initiative since the club finished outside the top eight last season.
