ROB OWEN fought back tears after securing his tour card with a stunning comeback against Ricky Evans.
The 40-year-old from Wales overcame a 2-1 deficit to triumph over Rapid Ricky 4-2, paving the way for a matchup against Callan Rydz.
His victory also ensured his place on the PDC Tour for the 2025 season.
Owen has been juggling his career as a darts player with work as a delivery driver for Iceland since the previous year.
Currently ranked No.77 in the world and nicknamed Stack Attack, Owen is establishing his reputation at Ally Pally.
He is now just four wins away from claiming the world title and the opportunity to win a £500,000 prize fund.
By reaching the fourth round, he has already secured £35,000, with his emotions running high after overcoming Evans.
Owen noted: “The previous match felt like the most significant of my life, but this one truly was! Ricky is a wonderful individual and an incredible player…”
“Can I say it now? I have RETAINED MY TOUR CARD! COME ON.”
He also mentioned his plan to return to work on Monday, although he intends to take a break.
