Coleen looked glum as she sat in her seat in Merseyside with her children Kai, 15, Klay, 11, and Cass, 6 – only weeks after her defeat to Danny Jones in the jungle.

She returned from Australia just in time for Christmas but opted to take her kids to the Everton game instead of Plymouth‘s match against Oxford on Sunday.

Her day got worse when she found out that Wayne’s Plymouth team had suffered another defeat.

The Championship side lost 2-0 at Oxford on Saturday afternoon.

This defeat extends their winless streak to nine matches, amplifying relegation fears.

Plymouth is currently positioned last in the league, four points away from safety.

There are growing speculations that Rooney might be on the verge of being dismissed in Devon.

Following the defeat to Oxford, Rooney told BBC Radio Devon: “We didn’t create sufficient chances and failed to stop them from scoring.”

“The first goal came from a cross, and it’s frustrating because we’ve been concentrating on preventing crosses and tightening up defensively.”

“The second goal resulted from their counter-attack; we didn’t defend well in one-on-one situations, and it cost us.”

“I expected more from us today, but unfortunately, we ended up suffering a defeat.”

Rooney joined Plymouth in the summer but has only secured five wins from 25 matches in charge.
