Littler battled through a sluggish start to achieve TWELVE 180s, finishing with an impressive average of 97.84.

He is set to face Ryan Joyce on Monday for a chance to advance to the WDC quarter-finals.

Following his previous night’s victory, Littler humorously poked fun at himself over a past incident during the tournament.

A week earlier, the teenager experienced a tough second-round match against Ryan Meikle.

Littler emerged victorious with a 3-1 score, despite a moment of tension.

After that match, he broke down in tears on stage and received a comforting hug from his parents.

This time, however, he shed no tears.

Instead, he humorously pretended to cry as he walked off the stage towards his family.

After the match against White, Littler commented: “It was tough. Ian gave it his all. Every time I hit a 180, he would match me. I had to stay focused.

“I wasn’t feeling nervous. I had to adjust quickly. The first set was okay. After the break in the second set, I was ready to go.

“That 70 at 3-1 was key. I don’t think double ten or double 20 like me – and I’m not their biggest fan either.

“The crowd was behind both Ian and me. When they start chanting Ian White’s name, that’s usually when I hit a 180.”

“I saw Ryan Joyce play. He showed great form. I know I have to nail those doubles; a 35 percent average won’t cut it. I need to improve on those doubles.”
