DEMARAI GRAY has expressed to Al-Ettifaq his intention to leave next month, with Fulham demonstrating interest.
The Saudi club’s manager, Steven Gerrard, is open to a sale if the offer is suitable, as the club is aiming for £5 million for the Jamaican winger.
Gray, 28, has faced challenges in settling in since his £8 million transfer from Everton last year.
His family is based in England, and he is keen to return to the Premier League.
Fulham had previously engaged in talks with Gray before his move to Saudi Arabia, and manager Marco Silva is still interested.
The Portuguese coach has led Fulham to eighth place in the league and is set to receive funds for the January transfer window to bolster a squad that is now aiming for European qualification.
Crystal Palace and Besiktas had previously shown interest in Gray before he opted to move to Saudi Arabia.
During his time at Everton, he netted 12 goals in 75 appearances and has also played for Bayer Leverkusen and Leicester, having made his mark at Birmingham early in his career.
Fulham might fund a move for Gray by selling Andreas Pereira, who is currently seeking a new chance.
Palmeiras from Brazil are keeping an eye on Pereira’s status and have reportedly made a £14 million offer for him.

However, reports indicate that Fulham will only consider a sale if the midfielder requests a transfer himself.
Pereira was left out of the squad earlier this month after reportedly stating it would be “very cool” to join Marseille, who have shown interest.
