Fans of the UFC expressed disappointment after watching Conor McGregor’s latest training video.
While others are enjoying their holiday break, the MMA superstar has been diligently honing his skills.
McGregor recently shared a video of himself practicing two-punch combinations on a heavy bag in his Instagram story.
However, numerous followers of the Irishman voiced their discontent regarding the clip.
One user commented on X: “Hard to watch.”
Another remarked: “Where’s his fluidity, man? He looks like a bodybuilder hitting the bag for the first time.”
Another observer mentioned: “I wouldn’t have recognized him until I noticed the gloves, wow.”
Another user stated: “Before watching the video and recognizing Conor’s Instagram handle, I had no idea who that was.
“They looked sluggish. That’s unbelievable, a total shadow of his former self.”
Another added: “Reminds me of Ronda Rousey. I don’t see Conor winning another fight.”

Nonetheless, some UFC fans defended the Dubliner, with one stating: “He’s just hitting the bag.”
Another pointed out: “[Jon] Jones looked out of shape against [Ciryl] Gane, yet he managed to finish him.”

“Don’t let appearances deceive you.”
Another supporter asserted: “He looks well; he’s on his way back to the title.”
McGregor’s training video releases coincide with speculation around a possible exhibition match with YouTube star Logan Paul.
Earlier this month, he tweeted on X: “The rumors about a bout with topurio [Ilia Topuria] are untrue.
“I am in preliminary discussions with the Ambani family to fight Logan Paul in a boxing exhibition in India.
“I have accepted. After that, I plan to return to the Octagon.”
At 36, McGregor has not fought since he broke his left leg during his trilogy bout with Dustin Poirier in July 2021.
His next fight, wherever it may occur, will be his first match since being deemed civilly liable for assaulting Nikita Hand in a Dublin hotel back in December 2018.
The UFC‘s first simultaneous two-division champion, who has faced accusations of “raping and battering” Ms Hand, has committed to contesting the judgment from last month’s civil trial at Dublin‘s High Court.
