It is with great sadness that we report the loss of Willie Mullins’ exceptionally talented racehorse, It’s For Me, who tragically died due to a serious injury at Leopardstown.
Owner Simon Munir confirmed the devastating news about the six-year-old gelding.
It’s For Me was the 11-8 favorite for the beginners chase at the Irish event.
Sadly, he was pulled up after the second fence despite taking an early lead with jockey Daryl Jacob.
In a message on X, Munir shared, “Unfortunately, It’s For Me suffered a fatal injury this afternoon at Leopardstown. He was an extraordinarily gifted horse and will be sorely missed by everyone!”
