A lot of fans were convinced that the smiling England midfielder playfully participated in the jeers directed at the Toon legend and BBC commentator, who is the Premier League’s all-time leading scorer.

The revised version, cleverly altered by Sunderland fans, included: “Shearer is a w****r”.

Bellingham was spotted swaying to the tune while enjoying his break, since Real Madrid won’t resume their fixtures until January 6.

Sunderland fans were delighted with his support for Jobe, regardless of how it was expressed.

One fan replied to a video of the moment, stating, “not something I expected to witness this Christmas. But here we are. Legend!”

Other enthusiastic responses included “Can’t love the guy any more if I tried” and “Oh I love you Jude”.
