In addition, Chelsea loanee Raheem Sterling is expected to be out of action following a knee injury.

According to The Telegraph, Arsenal is considering a January move for Cunha from Wolves.

However, the North London side – who are closely competing with Liverpool for the Premier League title – had expressed interest in the Brazilian even prior to Saka’s injury.

In fact, Cunha has been on their radar for the last three seasons.

The forward, who brilliantly scored directly from a corner in the 2-0 Boxing Day victory against Manchester United, transferred from Atletico Madrid two years ago, officially joining for £44 million in 2023.

During his first full season in the Premier League, he scored 14 goals across all competitions and is currently showcasing impressive form this season with ten goals so far.

Facing a relegation struggle, Wolves are likely to be reluctant to let their standout player go during the winter transfer window.

Cunha still has two years left on his existing contract, and the club is keen for him to renew his commitment.

His prior experiences include playing for Red Bull Leipzig and Hertha Berlin in Germany, with his career commencing in Switzerland at Sion.

After helping Wolves secure a 2-0 victory over Manchester United, Cunha has now scored nine goals in 17 Premier League matches.

Manager Vitor Pereira remarked, “He’s incredibly significant. Absolutely vital. His talent is that of a top-tier player.

“We require high-caliber players like him. I hope he can make a substantial contribution in every match. He is an exceptional individual and a leader within the squad.”
