Reports suggest that ARSENAL is set to have the chance to sign Paris Saint-Germain striker Randal Kolo-Muani in the upcoming January transfer window.
In light of Bukayo Saka’s injury incurred last week, the Gunners are likely to look for attacking reinforcements next month.
Mikel Arteta has confirmed that Saka will be out for “many weeks” after the winger left Saturday’s 5-1 win against Crystal Palace due to injury.
As a result, Saka could miss up to FIFTEEN matches, as he is anticipated to be sidelined until March due to a torn hamstring that left him on crutches following the match.
Amidst this, Arteta’s side might bolster their attacking options with the possible signing of PSG’s Kolo-Muani, as The Standard reports that the Paris club could offer the adaptable forward to Arsenal in January.
Recent reports suggest that Arsenal is one of several clubs PSG might approach regarding Kolo-Muani in the near future.
The 26-year-old French international has had limited playing opportunities this season and could benefit from a loan to another club.
Kolo-Muani has only started two matches in Ligue 1 this season, despite a substantial £75 million transfer from Eintracht Frankfurt in 2023.
Although he generally plays as a striker, Kolo-Muani also boasts the flexibility to play on both the left and right wings, providing essential cover for Saka should he join Arsenal.
Currently, Arsenal is not actively seeking a new wide forward for January, but the injuries to Saka and Raheem Sterling may alter their strategy.

Mikel Arteta stated that he is focused on filling the voids left by Saka and Sterling from within the team, considering options like Gabriel Martinelli, Leandro Trossard, Gabriel Jesus, and Ethan Nwaneri.
Before his team’s match against Ipswich on Friday, Arteta highlighted this intention while keeping the door open for a potential signing in January.

“My primary focus right now is indeed about leveraging the available resources we have in the squad to stay competitive,” he explained.
“We possess multiple options at our disposal. If something remarkable presents itself and the club is amenable, we’ll have to take it into account.”
