BRIGHTON has moved the away fans’ section in their stadium as part of a major redevelopment project.
This new initiative will boost the stadium’s capacity by 800, raising the total to 32,500.
This initiative, part of a £40 million investment, will also introduce a new fan zone outside the stadium called The Terrace.
The fan zone aims to include a pre- and post-match sports bar capable of hosting up to 1,000 fans during the colder months.
In the warmer months, it will extend outdoors to accommodate up to 2,000 fans, making it the largest fan zone in the Premier League.
Deputy chairman and chief executive Paul Barber stated: “I know our fans are excited for the launch of the new fan zone and are thrilled to see these plans coming to life.
“This is yet another incredibly generous investment by our chairman Tony Bloom.
“The Terrace will improve the matchday experience, offering a wonderful place to meet friends before and after games, watch live sports in a contemporary setting, and enjoy a wide variety of food and drink options.
“We also plan to utilize The Terrace for various events between matches, creating an excellent venue for fans, the community, and city visitors alike.
“Further details about opening hours and food offerings will be shared from now until spring, but we will work with the best local Sussex suppliers to provide an exceptional range.”

In 2027, away supporters will also be relocated to the south-west corner of the Amex.
This change will create a new space for home fans directly behind the goal in the stadium’s south stand.
