He recounted to MMAFighting: “I was sparring with a teammate when his knee struck my penis; the pain was unbearable, so I headed to the restroom.”

“I was in Sao Paulo recently, and my condition appeared unusual; there was a noticeable lump.”

“My girlfriend urged me to visit the hospital, where they conducted an ultrasound and recommended me to go to another facility for emergency surgery.”

Mendonca is currently auctioning off some of his old UFC gear to assist with expenses during his recovery phase when he is unable to fight or coach.

He mentioned: “The doctor advised me not to train or teach for two months.”

“I have to stay home and do nothing. I can’t train or instruct, so I’m raffling my gear to generate some income.”

“I have a little daughter, and I moved my family to Sao Paulo to start training.”

The Brazilian fighter boasts an 11-3 record and has participated in three bouts within the UFC.
