The coach of Tottenham has faced substantial backlash this season, particularly after addressing irate away fans following a disappointing loss to Bournemouth.

In the lead-up to the Liverpool game, a small group of fans rallied in protest against Levy.

They prominently showcased banners urging the long-serving club chairman to resign, with numerous supporters holding black balloons emblazoned with: “L£VI OUT”.

One banner read: “I don’t care about Levy and he doesn’t care about me.”

Another directed its criticism at the ownership more broadly, stating: “To dare is too dear. ENIC out.”

Plans were made to release the black balloons onto the pitch during the 24th minute, but only a few made it onto the field.

Tottenham fans have faced increasing costs since moving to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, even as the team’s performance has declined.

Positioned in 11th place as Christmas approaches, they have lost eight of their 17 Premier League matches.

This season, their only bright spot has been their cup performances, having recently advanced to the Carabao Cup semi-finals following a win over Manchester United.

Nevertheless, Spurs have not participated in the Champions League since 2022, and have little to show for the over £1 billion spent on transfers since the club last lifted a trophy in 2008.
