LEWIS HAMILTON is in the process of learning Italian as he gets ready for his upcoming move to Ferrari.
The F1 champion is set to join the Italian team for the 2025 season, which will signify the end of his remarkable stint with Mercedes.
Hamilton, 39, has entered into a two-year contract with Ferrari worth £100 million.
The team exercised a clause in his Mercedes contract to conclude his time there after an 11-year tenure.
Before officially joining Ferrari, the British racer is concentrating on mastering Italian to ease his transition with the new team.
F1 CEO Stefano Domenicali highlighted the necessity of language proficiency for the seven-time World Champion to successfully “integrate.”
As noted by Autoracer, he commented: “He will attract significant attention.
“He is dedicated to improving his Italian and understanding how to immerse himself in our culture.
“I told him that this is also vital for him. At Ferrari, he will experience a different atmosphere compared to his previous environment.”
Hamilton will team up with Charles Leclerc when he officially starts with Ferrari.
He will be the third driver to partner with the Monégasque racer, following Sebastian Vettel and Carlos Sainz.

Domenicali indicated that both drivers acknowledge and respect one another.
He added: “Charles will inevitably have to come to terms with the fact that being teammates with someone of Lewis’ caliber poses challenges.

“Lewis certainly has the talent to share his positive energy towards reaching his record.
“They have a robust mutual respect, and I wish for that to persist until the season’s end.”
Reportedly, Hamilton has been given permission to stay in Enzo Ferrari’s previous residence during his time in Maranello, Italy.
Earlier this month, Ferrari was advised by former F1 team owner Eddie Jordan to end Hamilton’s contract.
Jordan’s plea followed Hamilton’s public admission that he was “not fast anymore.”
