JOSE MOURINHO has disclosed that he recently had “minor surgery,” but assured fans that he won’t miss any training sessions.
According to reports, the 61-year-old coach had to undergo the procedure outside of Turkey due to a health concern.
Despite this, the Fenerbahce manager reassured supporters that there is no reason for alarm about the operation.
The Portuguese coach provided a health update through his Instagram account.
In a short video message, he stated: “Merry Christmas. Thank you for the numerous supportive messages.”
He also included a caption with his update expressing: “Wishing everyone a delightful holiday season.
“May this period be filled with love and happiness for you and your families.
“For those who showed concern, I assure you, the reports about my surgery are greatly exaggerated; it was merely a brief, minor procedure.
“I will resume training on the first day after the holidays, as usual.
“I haven’t missed a session in 25 years, and I have no intention of starting now. JM.”
He was present on the sidelines during Fenerbahce’s 1-1 draw against Eyupspor in their latest league match on Friday.
The Turkish club will not see action again until January 5, when they take on Hatayspor at home.
