Football icon Kyle Walker will celebrate Christmas Day alongside his estranged wife, Annie Kilner, as they have chosen to pause their divorce proceedings for the sake of their children.
The 34-year-old England and Manchester City player is gearing up for a significant legal confrontation regarding a share of his £27 million fortune in the coming year.
Annie ended their relationship after uncovering that he had fathered a second child with model and former mistress Lauryn Goodman.
Nonetheless, they have reached a Christmas ceasefire for the benefit of their four kids — Roman, 12, Riaan, eight, Reign, six, and baby Rezon.
A source shared: “It’s been a tough year. But Annie deserves immense respect.
“In spite of all of Kyle’s actions, the thought of him being alone on Christmas Day without their kids was unbearable for her.
“They are setting aside their conflicts to shield the children from any additional distress.”
Kyle will spend Christmas morning with Annie and the children before he prepares to join his City teammates for their Boxing Day match against Everton.
Annie, 31, may then return to Sheffield to be with her family, including her sister Sian.
The £150,000 weekly defender was removed last year after Lauryn, 34, revealed everything to an expectant Annie.
In a message sent on December 27, she stated: “Hey it’s Lauryn. I just wanted to quickly tell you that Kyle is the father of our daughter.”
After Annie pushed Kyle out, he secured a rental mansion close to their family residence in Prestbury, Cheshire. In his only interview shortly after, he confessed to The Sun: “What I’ve done is unforgivable, and I accept full accountability.”

The pair tried to salvage their relationship but seemed disconnected at the Euros as Kyle and the Three Lions struggled to reach the final, ultimately succumbing to Spain.
He returned to the UK a day later and within hours found himself in court in London, confronting Lauryn over financial matters concerning their daughter, Kinara.
A judge criticized Lauryn for attempting to leverage his secrecy for personal advantage.
Friends of Annie and Kyle had hoped that the harsh ruling might be a catalyst for reconciliation.
Instead, it drove them further apart, revealing the substantial amounts Kyle had provided to Lauryn in efforts to maintain her silence.
Annie is currently pursuing a 50-50 division of his assets as part of the divorce arrangement.
