Fans took to social media to voice their disappointment after logging in to witness the initial match between Karel Sedlacek and Rhys Griffin.
The PDCTV coverage began at 12:30 PM, but numerous viewers indicated they were met with complete silence during the transmission.
After 25 minutes of silence on the streams, the PDC released a statement on X.
They stated: “We are aware of a sound issue on PDCTV and are currently collaborating with our providers to address it.”
“Thank you for your patience.”
However, as the action kicked off at the iconic Ally Pally, frustrated fans who had paid to watch were far from satisfied as the issue persisted.
One user tweeted on X: “Patience? Seriously…the stream has been live for 25 minutes with no sound, and it took this long to issue a statement? Time for refunds, this is absurd. I woke up at 6 AM in the States for this…I want to hear it too.”
Another remarked: “Are you going to fix the sound? 20 minutes of silence…matches are starting and there’s still no audio…what’s happening?”

A fifth added: “This is a total farce. I’ve never seen an event mismanaged to this extent. PDCTV really needs a substantial overhaul.”
