Competitors in the World Darts Championship do not receive extra financial rewards for achieving 180s.
However, for each 180 recorded at Ally Pally, Paddy Power pledges £1,000 to Prostate Cancer UK.
Last year, there were a total of 914 180s, prompting Paddy Power to generously boost their donation to an impressive £1 million.

Michael Smith holds the record for the highest number of 180s scored in a single World Darts Championship event.
In 2022, he set a remarkable record with a total of 83 maximums, which surpassed Gary Anderson’s previous mark of 71.
Bully Boy did lose to Michael van Gerwen in that year’s final but came back to claim the title the following year.
