FASOL (2.30 Ascot, nap)

Champion jockey Harry Cobden has chosen to ride this son of Galileo instead of stablemate Golden Move, who has an each-way chance. My pick appears well-prepared to shine over hurdles after a near finish at Sandown recently. The handicapper has been fair with a 2lb weight increase, and this good ground should enhance his performance. If he reproduces his last outing, he stands a good chance of success.

IRISH HILL (12.45 Ascot, nb)

With ample experience as a six-year-old, he showed winning form at Plumpton two races ago and finished a close second at Wincanton afterward. He finishes strong over this distance and has previously secured victory at Ascot.

IBERICO LORD (1.55 Ascot, treble).

This horse is poised to take the lead for Nicky Henderson. He excelled as a handicapper over hurdles, claiming victories in the Greatwood and Betfair Hurdle. He demonstrated this capability by winning on his chase debut at Kempton last month. Despite a few minor errors, he secured a comprehensive victory. There is certainly more potential to tap into.

DAZZLELIKETHIS (12.20 Uttoxeter, Lucky 15)

I was impressed by her promising second-place finish on debut at Carlisle 31 days ago. Although she did make one misstep as the pace quickened, she finished strongly. She is likely to benefit greatly from this experience, and the increased distance should suit her nicely.
