During a Betfair quiz, ALAN SHEARER humorously stumbled over a question about his OWN CAREER.
The Premier League’s all-time top goalscorer had his knowledge of his iconic career tested in Betfair’s special Christmas Quizzing… Only Bettor quiz.

The former Blackburn Rovers, Newcastle United, Southampton, and England striker went up against Betfair’s racing experts, including Rachael Blackmore, Paul Nicholls, and Sky Sports’ Vanessa Ryle.
Shearer initially started strong alongside teammates Alan McInally and Sky Sports‘ Abigail Davies.
However, as the game progressed, his recollection seemed to wane, much to the amusement of the opposing team.
He became visibly frustrated after incorrectly answering a question about his sole Champions League goal with Rovers, the team he led to the Premier League title in the 1994/95 season.
Shearer mistakenly indicated that he had scored against the Dutch side Heerenveen during Rovers’ only appearance in Europe‘s elite competition.
In reality, the goal was netted against the Norwegian team Rosenborg.
Realizing his blunder, a frustrated Shearer exclaimed: “B******s.”
The Betfair quiz, hosted by Kevin Hatchard, comprised five rounds of sports trivia.
