Elliott finished a remarkable year spectacularly last month with a thrilling third-round knockout of Bassil Hafez at UFC 309, which took place at Madison Square Garden.

However, 2024 took an even greater turn for the Shore Mixed Martial Arts fighter just last week.

At just 25 years old, Elliott earned his Brazilian jiu-jitsu brown belt from UK MMA pioneer Richard Shore.

Feeling a deep sense of pride about this milestone, Elliott posted on X: “BJJ brown belt that’s no joke.”

“My team-mates designated me fighter of the year, and my coaches honored me with knockout of the year for my performance at MSG Brutha!”

“At my gym’s end-of-year awards, regarded as the most prestigious award ceremony on the planet, 2024 will be unforgettable, Brutha.”

Elliott is set to make his next octagon appearance in March, aiming for his fourth straight pay-per-view bout at UFC 313 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

Earlier this month, he proclaimed: “There’s not a long-haired man on this planet that I need to be concerned about, brutha.”

Miami it is! @GamebredFighter.”

After watching his idol Chael Sonnen corner Colby Covington during the final fight of 2024 last weekend, he reiterated his eagerness to face Masvidal.

Elliott expressed on X: “A great play by us on the weekend. Chael in the corner for Colby just to irritate Masvidal.”

“I want to annoy him enough so he accepts Chael’s challenge.”

“Jorge knows the only way he can get to Chael is through me.”

Elliott has long dreamed of holding UFC gold someday, asserting that for him, “the sky’s the limit” in terms of ambitions within the promotion.

During his post-fight press conference for UFC 309, he remarked: “I’m just going to keep pushing forward, continuously improving with every fight.”

“Every time I take that walk and face the weight cut, I evolve as a person. I just faced a resilient opponent.”

“The fans were thrilled by that battle…. Enormous respect for Bassil, but we’re only starting to scratch the surface.”

“I’ve devised a long-term career strategy, and it’s unfolding right in front of everyone.”
