MATTHEW SELT voiced his frustrations openly following a loss to a young competitor during the qualifying rounds of the German Masters.
The 39-year-old Englishman was up against the 18-year-old Latvian player, Artemijs Zizins.
The match occurred at Sheffield’s Ponds Forge facility, where the stakes were high for qualifying spots in the upcoming German Masters.
With the match tied at 4-4, Zizins was just one red ball away from clinching victory.
He tried to pot the ball into the top right pocket, but it bounced back out.
To Selt’s shock, the ball then rolled across the table and dropped into the top left pocket.
As this happened, Selt exclaimed, “Oh my God!”
He shook his head in disbelief.
The situation grew awkward as both Zizins and the referee seemed unsure of how to react.
Selt was heard muttering about his misfortune before extending a handshake to Zizins.

Selt chuckled and replied, “And you.”
As Zizins and the referee remained, loud crashes were heard from off-screen.
The referee called, “Matthew, please.”
A voice from off-screen responded, “Shut up!”
