
FOOTBALL enthusiasts are baffled after a missing £14,000 Rolex disappeared during CPR attempts at a West Ham match.
Jay Gray has urgently reached out following the sorrowful collapse and eventual passing of his father while attending the Wolverhampton Wanderers game in Stratford, London, on Monday evening.
In a heartfelt post on social media, Jamie ‘Jay’ Gray made a passionate request for the return of the watch, recounting the events as he remembers them.
His message on X, formerly known as Twitter, read: “My dad sadly collapsed and passed away at the Wolves game last Monday night. He had to be carried up the stairs from his seat in block 123 for CPR, and during this process, his watch went missing. We are desperate to have it back.”
The post featured a joyful selfie of the father and son taken in front of a football field.
“There will be a reward for anyone who provides information leading to the return of this watch. My dad wore it every day, and it holds immense sentimental value for our family,” the message continued.
Jay added: “We hope that anyone associated with West Ham, as well as others willing to help, can aid in retrieving this cherished piece of jewelry during this difficult time.”
So far, the post has received 35 million views, with support from an English football manager and former player boosting the appeal.
Martin Allen, who played over 100 matches as a midfielder for both Queens Park Rangers and West Ham United, shared his sentiments, stating: “Terrible news regarding the West Ham fan who passed away at our home game last week.”
He added: “His family is reaching out for all of us to help find the watch that has gone missing. Please, someone return it.”
A family friend also took to Facebook to express condolences and promote the appeal.

“Kevin and his family are very dear to mine. Kevin tragically passed away on Monday evening. His wife Lou and their children Taela and Jamie just want the watch back; no one cares who has it or why—they just want it returned. Kevin wore it every day.”
A spokesperson from London Stadium commented: “We wish to extend our condolences to the family. We are working with the football club to examine the CCTV footage from that evening.”
Over 60,000 fans were in attendance at the match, which culminated in a 2-1 victory for the home team.
The Premier League game took place at the London Stadium in Stratford.
