Fans were optimistic that Rashford would earn a fresh start under the new manager Ruben Amorim following Erik ten Hag‘s departure.

However, Rashford, 27, has struggled to prove to the Portuguese manager that he is an essential player.

The forward, along with Alejandro Garnacho, was not included in the squad for Manchester United‘s victory over Manchester City.

This omission has sparked speculation about a possible transfer from the Red Devils.

Rashford has now stated that he is eager for a “new challenge”.

He shared his thoughts with journalist Henry Winter: “Personally, I believe I’m ready for a new challenge and the next steps.”

Rashford assured that when he eventually leaves Manchester United, there will be no “hard feelings”.

He remarked: “When I go, it will be with ‘no hard feelings’. You won’t hear any negative comments from me about Manchester United. That’s just who I am.”

Ruben Amorim promises to ‘find the right solution’ for Marcus Rashford but the new Man Utd manager rules out a position change

“When I leave, I will release a statement, and it will come directly from me.”

Previously, he was linked with Ligue 1Paris Saint-Germain when his contract was nearing its end in 2023.

However, he chose to remain at Old Trafford after signing a new contract last year.

Meanwhile, teammate Diogo Dalot has issued a warning to Rashford.

The defender stated that for players aiming to succeed at Man United, they must “endure”.

Club legend Roy Keane has suggested that moving away from Old Trafford could be the best choice for Rashford.

Speaking on Sky Sports, he remarked: “We need to see how they react to this significant disappointment of being left out of the squad for such an important game – a bold choice from the manager… he’s setting a benchmark for these players.”

“I believe a transfer would be advantageous for Marcus.”

“Having been at the club for a long time, a fresh challenge (could be beneficial).”
