Runner Keely Hodgkinson is currently favored to win after her gold medal performance at the Paris Olympics, following her silver medal in Tokyo three years ago.

Darts sensation Luke Littler is in second place after a remarkable year, where he was the runner-up in the World Darts Championship.

However, he managed to take revenge on Luke Humphries and claimed victory in the Premier League.

The other nominees include triathlete Alex Yee, cricketer Joe Root, swimmer and cyclist Sarah Storey, and football star Jude Bellingham.

Last year’s award was won by Mary Earps, the England Lionesses’ goalkeeper.

Cricketer Stuart Broad was the runner-up, while athletics star Katarina Johnson-Thompson secured third place.
